Decades Radio – On Air with Competa

Decades Radio is now live with Vector Audio’s Competa playout system.


Broadcasting from purpose built studio’s in Barking, Decades Radio is live on the internet 24 hours a day and also regularly links up with Nu Sound radio on 92.0 FM, bringing the station to listeners in the local area.


The system features a main automation server and playout machine with 22″ touchscreen, capable of broadcasting live or being left in automation mode. ┬áThe system also has a production workstation to allow producers to work on automated shows, whilst live shows carry on using the main machine. The system also connects to Vector Audio’s Studio Clock system.


The system is setup to be able to take news feeds from Sky News Radio automatically as well as remote presenters being able to automatically contribute audio to the station. ┬áThe station’s streaming system is able to read metadata from the system to display it to the online listeners to Decades Radio.
